Forward to future: Since the foundation of PMA in the year 2000 we are following this course. You will find here some important dates and projects of our history in chronological order.
1st September 2000:
After more than 25 years in shipbuilding Mr. Peter Meyer founded PETER MEYER Project Management • Adviser GmbH.
At company foundation: The first orders are executed for the new construction of AIDAvita and AIDAaura. PMA creates the lighting and dimming system, PA/GA system, fire detection system, telephone system, RF Network, effect lighting and sound engineering, stagecraft and multimedia engineering.
Contract for the complete ship cable planning of the „Rising Sun“ (building time from 2001 until 2005), at that time the largest mega yacht in the world.
Development of proprietary management software for cable planning in order to implement our own high quality demands concerning cable planning and cable routing.
Mr. Klaus Meyer, son of the founder, joins the company and takes up his business activities. PMA expands its head office and recruits more employees.
Bulk order for the complete electrical package for six yachts of the HDW Gaarden GmbH.
Mr. Klaus Meyer is appointed Managing Director. At the same time the long-term employees Mr. Enno Richerts and Graduated Engineer Mr. Heinrich Held are appointed General Managers.
Handover of MY "Plan B" as first part of the HDW major contract.
16th April 2011:
The company founder Mr. Peter Meyer (Portrait)
dies after serious illness at the age of 63.
Handover of the exterior lighting at the MY “TOPAZ
” to the customer.
“Control is just a Fingertip” - under this slogan PMA developed a solution for shipboard control of equipment and systems via Tablet PC and Smartphone. In this context the App “PMA System Control
” is also released in the AppStore.
Mr. Enno Richerts is appointed Tecnical Managing Director.
Delivery of MY "Odessa II" as second and final part of the HDW major contract. Construction and completion take place on Nobiskrug Yard in Rendsburg.
